Our Foundation
The purpose of the Carson City Library Foundation is to receive, obtain and disburse money and other items of value to assist the Carson City Library with resources needed to meet the informational needs of all citizens.

Knowledge + Discovery Center: Capital Campaign
In 2009, the Knowledge + Discovery Center (KDC) project was presented to the Carson City Board of Supervisors for the first time. Its very proposal marked a new chapter for this city’s historic downtown, with a focused commitment to the community's 2006 master plan, Envision Carson City.
On September 15, 2011 the Carson City Board of Supervisors pledged support of $ 23.8 million to this ambitious project designed to be the heart of Nevada’s capital city. This public/private partnership development includes the spacious 65,000-square-foot Knowledge + Discovery Center, a year-round interactive plaza, and structured parking wrapped with 11,000 square feet of retail. We welcome feedback on this exciting project.
